The American Revolution Institute of the Society of the Cincinnati is seeking an exceptional Library Director, and this could be your chance to lead an illustrious institution into the future. As the Library Director, you’ll be at the helm of a treasure trove of historical riches, including rare books, manuscripts, maps, prints, and broadsides, as well as an extensive collection of modern resources that support broad research on the Revolutionary era. The Library Director will oversee the development, management, and preservation of these priceless collections while fostering their accessibility to scholars and researchers both on-site and online. The library is the leading component of the Society of the Cincinnati’s educational division, the American Revolution Institute.

Your role will be dynamic and multifaceted, from expanding the library’s acquisitions to supervising cataloging and conservation efforts to overseeing the library’s fellowship program that supports up to a dozen scholars using the library each year. This is an exciting opportunity for a practicing librarian with a love of American history!
