Visitors can tour Anderson House and view our current exhibition Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, 12 to 4 p.m.
The Society’s library is open by appointment Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For appointments, call 202.785.2040 x424, or email library@societyofthecincinnati.org.
The Society’s office hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Location
The Society of the Cincinnati is located at Anderson House at 2118 Massachusetts Avenue, NW, between 21st and 22nd streets in the Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington, D.C.
Directions
Public Transportation
By the Metro subway system, take the Red line to the Dupont Circle station (Q Street/North exit). At the top of the escalators, turn left on Q Street. In one block, turn left toward Massachusetts Avenue. Anderson House is across the street, to the right. Metrobuses D2, D4, D6, N1, N2, N3 and G2 stop within one block of Anderson House.
Driving
From Baltimore and Points North
Take I-95 South to I-495 West. From I-495, take Exit 33 for Connecticut Avenue, south to Chevy Chase. After approximately eight miles on Connecticut Avenue, turn right onto Florida Avenue. Immediately after crossing Massachusetts Avenue, turn left onto Q Street. At the next light, bear right onto Massachusetts Avenue. Anderson House is on the right in the middle of this block.
From Annapolis and Points East
Take Route 50 West into Washington, D.C., where it becomes New York Avenue. At Mount Vernon Square near the Washington Convention Center, bear right onto Massachusetts Avenue. Continue on Massachusetts Avenue through Thomas, Scott and Dupont circles. Anderson House is just past 21st Street on the left.
From Arlington and Points West
Take Route 50 or I-66 to the Roosevelt Bridge. Take the E Street exit (a left exit). Stay on E Street through a tunnel, then turn left onto 20th Street. Turn left onto Massachusetts Avenue. Anderson House is just past 21st Street on the left.
From Richmond and Points South
Take I-95 North to I-395 North. Continue on I-395 until it turns into the 14th Street Bridge. Continue over the bridge and bear left to stay on 14th Street. Continue on 14th Street across the National Mall. After crossing Pennsylvania Avenue, continue on 14th Street for approximately eight blocks to Thomas Circle. At the traffic circle, travel three-quarters of the way around the circle and exit onto Massachusetts Avenue. Continue through Scott and Dupont circles. Anderson House is just past 21st Street on the left.
Parking
There is no on-site parking at Anderson House. There are a number of hotel parking garages accessible to the public located within several blocks of Anderson House. On-street parking is limited. Short-term loading and unloading space for buses is available on Massachusetts Avenue directly in front of Anderson House.
