DESCRIPTION:Experience the exquisite art and architecture of our headquarters\, Anderson House\, as never before\, as floral sculptures inspired by the art and furnishings are displayed throughout the museum. Art in Bloom DC is a unique opportunity to view interpretations of specific artworks\, furnishings and architectural details rendered in a floral medium. More than two dozen of Washington’s most creative and innovative floral designers have come together to showcase their unique style\, vision and skill through the display of flowers\, inspired by objects in Anderson House including 17th-century Flemish tapestries\, gilded ceilings\, garden sculpture\, Larz Anderson’s diplomatic uniform and portraits of Isabel Anderson. \nAnderson House is the exclusive venue for Art in Bloom DC 2022. Anderson House was also the venue for a virtual Art in Bloom DC event in 2021. Our expert museum docents will be on hand to discuss the history of Anderson House\, the collections\, and the Society of the Cincinnati and its American Revolution Institute. Admission during public viewing is free of charge\, and no reservations are necessary. \n  \nSpecial Public Reception: Tuesday\, June 14\, 6-8 P.M.\n$30.00 General Public | $25.00 Society of the Cincinnati Members & ARI Associates \nJoin us for a special reception celebrating the floral sculptures of Art in Bloom DC 2022 with the premier florists who created the displays. Guests will have the unique opportunity to explore the installations\, meet the floral artists\, and discuss the inspirations behind their work while enjoying hors d’oeuvres and refreshments. Guests will be able to tour the historic spaces of the first and second floors of Anderson House\, as well as have special access to the garden (not normally open to the public). \n  \nBuy Reception Tickets\n  \nCurrently\, all visitors to Anderson House age 2 and older are required to wear a mask while attending a historical program or visiting the museum or library except while eating or drinking.
